Check out this event: CURLY AND THE ROCKET Gig and Party
Thursday, September 21st, 2006Adrienne Penebre of Curly and The Rocket sent me this note:
I’m
wondering if you would help spread the word about our large event this
Saturday to your social email list that you told me about. I know
you’ve received the evite, but if you want something different, we
could come up with something creative. This event is all about bringing
people together, and throwing down a great time.
It’s going
to be an awesome space to hear Curly and the Rocket live and on fire,
network with people in the arts and entertainment industries, walk away
with new music, and do a whole lot of partying for the money!!!
Please let me know either way.
We’ll be playing again at the Halloween bash, by the way. Wonder if David Michael’s floor will ever get mopped?
Cheers,
Adrienne Penebre

CURLY AND THE ROCKET
You
and your music-loving friends are invited to join me at the Curly and
The Rocket Launch Party presented by Burning Barn Records
[http://www.burningbarn.com/], to celebrate the duo’s official birth
and the release of their long awaited album "Electricshow."
Great
fun is in store: side-show carnival kind of fun. In the spirit of art
and entertainment, here’s what’s planned to kick off the intrepid power
duo’s promising future in the lucrative world of music rocking.
Special Guest Appearances, including:
Curly and The Rocket [http://www.curlyandtherocket.com], performing a full on rock show, with music from their brand new album Electricshow.
Performances
by the geeky, bizarre and fantastic Swami Yomahmi and Mysterion the
Mind Reader, stars of DC’s first and only theatrical sideshow, The
Cheeky Monkey Sideshow.
Acclaimed experimental photographer
Bruce McKaig, using digital tools, darkroom chemistries, paint brushes
and chance elements of surprise, will trace time on a mural-size
photo-based record of reality as its happening, right before your very
eyes…
Producer / Artist B-Digga will put his unique spin on some vintage vinyl (to make you horny, baby.)
Your $20 ticket includes:
-Your very own copy of Electricshow, the album
-Unlimited intoxicating libations and fun foodstuff
-A
night of partying to entertainment and live music with people you know
and people you don’t know, but might want to know… unless you don’t.
(Then you can stand in the corner and watch.)
-Photo opps with camera phones (it wouldn’t be a rock show without that.)
Don’t miss this one of a kind exclusive celebration, with Curly and The Rocket!
TICKETS: $20 per person, $10 for 18 and under.
BUY TICKETS CASH AT THE DOOR.
DOORS
OPEN at 8pm sharp. Cocktail reception begins at 8pm. If you come too
